Hyper-V Administrative Tasks I

These screenshots highlight core administrative workflows inside Hyper-V Manager. Covering virtual machine operations, CPU and memory configuration. Kicking things off with system resource management across Ubuntu, Windows, and pfSense VMs.

This lab demonstration of Hyper-V is being done on a spare Lenovo Thinkpad E15 Gen 2 I had sitting around. The screen is busted up, making this machine an excellent use for this lab. With that in mind, a Hyper-V host configured with an Intel core i5 4-core processor, 16 GBs of RAM, two SSDs making up less than 500GB of storage space altogether. Each VM will need to run at a more minimum capacity. While it's not a production system, it is a fun hands-on project that explores Hyper-V.
